Fellow writers, how do you write an action scene?  Any tricks?  Pit-falls? Hints?

  1. I always make sure to use “bam! pow! Ka-pow! ka-blewy!” numerous times. 😉
Hmmm….I have a lot of action in my current project but I’m not sure if I did it right or not. YOu have to think if you are using things such as guns or martial arts you should have some knowledge or write it out and have it edited by someone with that knowledge. Sheesh! Now you are making me question everything!

  2. Don’t question, unless questioning helps. Editing is a fragile time. I like having tons of actions, as long as there’s enough emotion in there, too, so that the reader is invested in the action.
